Now a virtual FurJAM institution, the Rose of Australia has served the Sydney furry community for the last three years. As usual, we've got the upstairs room all to ourselves complete with a pool table, and there's plenty of overflow space around the cocktail bar downstairs. With good food at great prices, this stands out as one of FurJAM's most popular events.
Please note:

  • While ears, tails, and general furry atire (including collars, etc.) are allowed by the Rose, attendees must not wear anything that covers their face at any time.
  • All attendees under 18 will be required to wear a wrist band so as to be easily identifiable to staff.

Another FurJAM favorite, Saturday morning will again center around Paperbark Grove in Centennial Park. Throughout the day there will be a BBQ and an Art Jam as well as hopefully a few games. Food and drink will be provided for the BBQ, but if you'd like to bring your own snacks or BBQ'able food, all donations of food are encouraged (to see how else you can help out with the BBQ, click here!). Currently we're asking that everyone make a $2 donation to cover costs, but this may change slightly closer to the day. Also, as with last year there will be an art competition to be judged later in the evening. Finally keep in mind that while fursuiting is encouraged, the park is open to the public, so stay on your best behaviour :) .

Starlight RoomWhere: Eastern Suburbs Legion Club; 213 Bronte Rd, Waverley
When: 5pm - 11pm | Map: Click here
How to get there: Catch the 378 from Central or the BBQ to the intersection of Victoria St, Bronte Rd and Carrington Rd. The return bus to the city stops just outside the club (check timetables here). Street parking is also available.
Fursuits: Yes | Cost: $15 entry

Building on an event that was started last year, this year's Saturday Night Room Party will be taking place in the Starlight Room of the Eastern Suburbs Legion Club. The room is located on the second floor of the club, and comes equipped with a dancefloor, projector, private bar and bathrooms, plenty of space and a wonderful view of the city of Sydney. We'll be organising a pizza run later in the evening for those who want it, and any donations of party food would also be appreciated. A schedule of entertainment for the evening is still under development, and will probably include stand-up comedy, dancing, fursuiting, art competitions and card games. Volunteers will be needed to provide equipment and to assist with the evening's events, so to see how you can help out, or if you have any suggestions for the entertainment schedule, click here.
Please note:

  • The only access to the Starlight Room, located on the second floor, is via the elevator in the downstairs bistro.
  • While the bistro on the ground floor will be open for service during the evening's events, we strongly encourage attendees to either grab something to eat beforehand or to take advantage of the pizza run later in the evening. The bistro will not be able to handle individual orders for the entire group, and service will likely be somewhat delayed as it will still open to members of the public
  • Fursuiters will need to remain upstairs at all times.
  • For those bringing fursuits by car, the club has a drop off zone by the street entrance on Bronte Rd that can be used for unloading of bags.
  • As with the Rose, all under 18's in attendance will be required to wear a wristband.
